In remembrance of John Clarke, a dedicated servant of the Augusta community, a former county commissioner, and a board member of the Downtown Development Authority of Augusta from 2020-2022. Current Chairman of the Board of DDA Augusta, Jack Evans, shares, “I am thankful for Mr. Clarke’s service to the DDA and for his dedication to the city of Augusta.” John was dedicated to public service and deeply passionate about downtown development. He was a leader, mentor, and friend to many in our community. 

We honor his memory and celebrate his contributions and lasting impact in Augusta. He will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
