The DDA stands ready to assist business owners, developers and investors any way it can. We are not directly involved in every revitalization project that occurs in downtown Augusta, but we are nonetheless proud to see public entities and private organizations step up to make investments in the heart of our city. Georgia Cities Loan Recipients

DDA Façade Grants
In 2019, the City of Augusta received a generous donation from Georgia Power. Since then, the DDA has partnered with Georgia Power to provide over a dozen grants to property and business owners for storefront improvements in downtown Augusta.

The ART THE BOX initiative is a collaboration between three organizations: the City of Augusta, the Downtown Development Authority, and the Greater Augusta Arts Council. Since 2015, it has enriched the quality of life for citizens and visitors of Augusta by supporting local artists through visual art displays.
Streetscape Projects
The Transportation Investment Act (TIA) program approved by regional voters in 2012 has programmed more than $80 million worth of infrastructure improvements into the downtown corridor.
