Jones Street Alley

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

In 2023, DDA was awarded a $1.7 million grant from Governor Brian Kemp. The Jones Street Alley project, a collaboration among the City of Augusta, DDA, and private business owners, is a great example of a successful public-private partnership. This project will create a seamless corridor from Broad Street to the Savannah River, connecting to and extending Augusta Common.

The grant will fund construction that began in April 2026, with completion expected in early December 2026.
